Vuokatti Joint Marketing

The priority of Vuokatti Joint Marketing is to increase awareness of the Vuokatti brandattract more tourists to the area and generate additional sales for the companies that have joined the marketing cooperation. All companies offering services to tourists (including accommodations, restaurants, culture, program services, sports and wellness operators) as well as municipalities and event organizers are welcome to participate in Vuokatti joint marketing.

The joint marketing and tourism development of Vuokatti is implemented by Vuokatti Tourism Ltd and it includes the following entities:

  • Coordinating and monitoring the current Tourism Development Plan
  • Development of the Vuokatti brand
  • Developing the attractiveness of Vuokatti by marketing
  • Domestic marketing observing the Vuokatti brand
  • International marketing in cooperation with Visit Finland and as part of the Arctic Lakeland area
  • Serving media related to tourism and organizing media visits to Vuokatti
  • Development and maintenance of tour operator connections
  • Developing the accessibility to Vuokatti in cooperation with airlines, among others

The most important target market in leisure tourism is Finland, but marketing measures have also been carried out in international markets.

The main target groups for marketing in Finland are active travellers, ones interested in well-being, as well as companies and their employees (bleisure, meaning business and pleasure).

Vuokatti Tourism Ltd carries out international tourism marketing on selected markets. The customer target group segmentation of Visit Finland is utilized in our international tourism marketing.

Vuokatti Tourism Ltd maintains and develops vuokatti.fi website and implements targeted marketing in the social media channels of Vuokatti: Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. In 2024, the Vuokatti.fi website had 717,978 tracking approved visitors and Vuokatti social media channels had over 7 million impressions.

Domestic marketing is also carried out through newsletters, TV and radio campaigns, native articles and Google advertising, as well as by participating in various trade fairs and group sales events.

International marketing is carried out on selected markets, for example by participating in sales events, collaborating with tour operators, and organizing visits to the region for influencers, media and tour operators.

Companies participating in Vuokatti Joint Marketing can utilize the channels of Vuokatti Tourism Ltd according to their own preferences in Finnish and English:

  • Company and service presentations on the vuokatti.fi website
  • Upload their own events to the vuokatti.fi/tapahtumat/ page provided by Tapahtumien Kainuu (in Finnish)
  • Publish as many of their own offers and tips as they wish on the vuokatti.fi campaign pages (in Finnish)
  • Submit material to the Vuokatti newsletter sent to registered consumers once a month (in Finnish)
  • Submit material to be published on Vuokatti social media channels (in Finnish)
  • Companies providing accommodation can also participate in Vuokatti accommodation search website

Vuokatti accommodation search (in Finnish and in English) is designed to publish real-time price and availability data. The search engine has currently interfaces to the following booking systems:

  • Holiday Club Katinkulta booking system
  • Hotellinx Cloud
  • InfoBooking
  • Moder
  • Booking system of Sokos hotels in Kajaani and Vuokatti
  • Sportum

A company joining the Vuokatti accommodation search engine (or any of the current companies changing their booking system) is responsible for the one-off activating costs occurred.

Vuokatti logo:
Since the figurative mark in the Vuokatti logo, which has a word part in it, is a trademark owned by Vuokatti Tourism Ltd, only the companies participating in Vuokatti Joint Marketing have the right to use the Vuokatti logo in their own marketing.

The annual fee for implementing the Vuokatti Joint Marketing is tied to the company’s turnover, of which 1 % is calculated as a fee. The payment basis for 2026 is the turnover of 2024, for both new and present members. While examining the turnover, the minimum annual fee is 500 € and the maximum 30,000 €.
